The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federally funded program that establishes the Workforce Development System and provides funding to support training and employment services for adults, dislocated workers and low-income, out-of-school youth.
The Workforce Development System is comprised of a statewide Governor’s Workforce Development Council, a single state planning region, and numerous state and local employment and training organizations that work in partnership. These entities bring services to Idaho students, job seekers and business customers.
