IMPORTANT: The Idaho Department of Labor will never ask for your personally identifiable information such as your Social Security number via text! Do not reply to messages that ask for this information. Those messages are scams and not from us.
Why am I getting text messages from the Idaho Department of Labor?
The department is sending informational texts to unemployment insurance claimants who opt in for this service. You are receiving these messages because you opted in to receiving texts.
Please note: opting in for text messages does not mean you will stop receiving important physical mail, email or phone calls. For example, important determinations will still be sent to you via physical mail.
Will the department ask me for personally identifiable information?
No. The department will never ask you for personally identifiable information such as your Social Security number. The texts we send are to inform you about unemployment insurance. If you receive a message asking for personally identifiable information like your Social Security or bank account number, these messages are not from us — do not respond.
Will the department send me a website link or a phone number?
Yes. If it is urgent or the information is detailed, we may include a website link or phone number in a text. Before clicking any links, make sure the phone number you are receiving the message from is “43365,” which may also show up on your phone as the abbreviation “IDDOL.”
What messages will the department text me?
The department will send you messages outlining the steps to file a claim and how to keep receiving benefits.
Do not click on any messages that request personally identifiable information such as your Social Security number or reply to any messages with personally identifiable information! Your personal information will be at risk!
How do I stop receiving texts from the department?
Text “STOP” to “43365,” which may also show up on your phone as the abbreviation “IDDOL,” at any time.
