Department of Labor to Participate in Manufacturing Expo, Job Fair Oct. 4

Job seekers are encouraged to attend an event at the Ford Idaho Center Oct. 4, 9 a.m. – 3p.m., as part of MADE HERE! EXPO & JOB FAIR in support of National Manufacturing Day.

At least half of the 67 exhibitors representing manufacturing and related industries will be recruiting workers during the event. The expo, organized by Southwest Idaho Manufacturers’ Alliance, also targets parents and students with interactive displays and information about the modern manufacturing environment and the numerous opportunities available in manufacturing.

Several postsecondary educational institutions will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about majors, certificate programs and additional learning opportunities. The Department of Labor will staff a booth to share information about the ApprenticeshipIdaho program and other department job seeker services.

This third annual event is sponsored by manufacturers, businesses, government entities, educational institutions and related organizations.

Job seekers should bring resumes and be prepared to discuss job opportunities with potential employers. For details about the expo, go to
