Employers
from several industries will be seeking workers at a hiring event Thursday,
Sept. 21, from 1-4 p.m. The event takes place at the Idaho Department of
Labor’s Idaho Falls local office, 1515 E. Lincoln Road.
Area
employers have immediate needs to fill a variety of jobs such as tire service
technicians, editor/reporter, freight/laborers, delivery workers, merchandising
personnel, furniture associates, meat wrappers, rotisserie associates, baker
associates, café associates, member service attendants, cashiers, member
greeters, gas attendants, overnight merchandisers, welders, product
specialists, service technicians, auto body technicians, pre-school aides,
substitutes, education coordinators, infant/toddler teacher aides, bus
monitors, infant/toddler teachers, and sales associates for produce, grocery,
freezer cooler and electronics.
To prepare
for the event, job seekers should bring resumes, all the information needed to
fill out job applications and be ready to discuss job opportunities and related
skills and qualifications with employers.
