AmeriCorps members will be available for placement in low-income, rural schools throughout the state for the 2016-2017 school year. Each AmeriCorps member will report to the school and work in collaboration with staff to help students increase their academic aspirations and raise college and career awareness.
These AmeriCorps members will:
- Go through rigorous training at the beginning of the program.
- Receive instruction and continuous training from our partners at the Office for the State Board of Education, Idaho Department of Education, Idaho Division of Career and Technical Education and libraries on effective ways to mentor students in college and career planning.
