Primary Purpose
Teach courses in the areas of media, advertising, and public relations while maintaining an active program of academic research and/or creative activity.

Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in media, advertising, and public relations, while simultaneously fulfilling vital needs within existing curriculum. Teach Media Writing, as well as one or more of the following: Introduction to Public Relations; Introduction to Advertising; Photo, Graphic, and Video Editing; and Business and Professional Communication. Maintain an active record of research or creative activity and oversee significant enrollment growth.

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. (ABD with confirmed completion date before August 2018 may be considered), evidence of the ability to contribute to the existing curriculum in the major on both undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate must demonstrate evidence of a promising record of research or creative activity.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in communication, or a related field, and those who could advise a student chapter of a professional organization such as a Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) or American Advertising Federation National Student Advertising Club (AAF/NSAC). Preference will also be given to candidates with online or hybrid teaching experience as well as those with professional experience in a relevant field.
