SPECIAL NOTIFICATION:  This position is exempt from classified state service and the rules of the Division of Human Resources and the Idaho Personnel Commission.

The Rehabilitation Division of the Idaho Industrial Commission is recruiting for a Field Consultant to provide services in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and surrounding area.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

The Rehabilitation Field Consultant is responsible for interviewing, counseling, and initiating appropriate return-to-work plans for injured workers. The consultant is required to drive to job sites in an assigned area to conduct detailed job analyses, consisting of measuring and describing the physical and environmental requirements of various occupations. The consultant assesses the employment handicap imposed by the injury or occupational disease; evaluates social, academic, industrial, and motivational factors; and arranges whatever assessment, treatment, job placement, or training services may be required to expedite a return to work. In performing these duties, the consultant is responsible for working closely with employers, insurance companies, medical providers, attorneys, organized labor, and other governmental and/or private agencies.

Extra consideration will be awarded for Veteran Status. If requesting Veterans' Preference, you must provide supporting documentation demonstrating eligibility, i.e. SPB-1a, DD 214, etc.

A criminal background check must be completed prior to appointment with the Idaho Industrial Commission.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree majoring in a related field. Educational requirements may be substituted by pertinent work experience. Pertinent work experience is defined as responsible employment in a field where the applicant's major job function was similar to a major job function of the Field Consultant position. Valid driver's license.
