Primary Purpose
This position leads and directs all communication content regarding ISU’s College of Arts and Letters events and news internally and to the public. The person in this position oversees the marketing, public relations, and recruiting functions of the College, and works closely with the College Dean and ISU’s Marketing and Communications team to develop and implement communication strategies to enhance and sustain student enrollment, engagement, and recruitment for the College.

Key Responsibilities
Specific job responsibilities include: oversight of written press releases, procuring content for the monthly newsletter, management and utilization of the College’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), taking part in student recruitment activities by visiting high schools and establishing relationship with students and teachers, facilitating new programs in the community, directing student recruiting material content, and representing the College at ISU recruiting events. In addition, the person in this position will develop a plan and execute a publicity campaign for the annual New Year’s Eve Gala and facilitate the development and implementation of College recruiting initiatives such as Liberal Arts High, On-Campus Dual Enrollment, and Road Scholars, as well as developing and implementing strategies to stay connected with College alumni, donors, and potential donors.

Minimum Qualifications
1) Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
2) Two (2) years progressively responsible experience in the marketing and communications field.
3) Experience developing and implementing communication strategies for an organization.
4) Experience producing and overseeing a high volume of written press releases, newsletters, and social media content.

Preferred Qualifications
1) Knowledge and experience of ISU's marketing and recruiting initiatives.
2) Experience developing and executing publicity campaigns for fundraising events.

Position will remain open until filled. The approved salary range is $45,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package. Offers of employment may be conditional pending successful completion of a background investigation.
