Primary Purpose
As a member of the Physician Assistant Studies educational technology team, this position will be responsible for managing and serving the technology needs of the PA Program specifically for the Meridian and Caldwell campuses. This is a management level position and incumbents are required to have a high degree of: A/V technical expertise, superb interpersonal communication and coordination skills, personal responsibility, and the ability to operate independently of direct supervision. The position will interact with multiple departments within Idaho State University and College of Idaho organizations. The department maintains video conferencing classrooms at three campuses and this position is responsible for classroom functionality, maintenance, and development. The office for this position will be based on the Meridian campus, but the incumbent will be required to travel between all three campuses (Meridian, Caldwell, & Pocatello) as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
•    Assist the Department of Physician Assistant management with the design, development, and evaluation of distance learning hardware and facilities for all campus sites.
•    Supervise and support department Video Instructional Managers and Media Equipment Specialists.
•    Assist with analyzing department technology needs and implementation of solutions.
•    Install, troubleshoot, and repair/replace department A/V equipment and systems.
•    Troubleshoots production issues, identifies root cause and implements sound technical resolutions in a timely manner.
•    Serves as the primary technical interface with product vendors to resolve technical issues.
•    Coordinate technology needs of department between educational institutions.
•    Manage fixed asset inventory at Meridian & Caldwell campus sites.
•    Provide educational content delivery support for faculty and outside lecturers.
•    Maintain knowledge of ISU and College of Idaho Networking & Telecommunications policies.
•    Design, develop and deliver technology training to a diverse group of subjects.

Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in A/V related industry.
•    A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role.
•    A minimum of two (2) years of experience with A/V systems design and/or installation.
•    Must have strong customer service and communication skills; speaking, writing and documenting.
•    Ability to independently test, evaluate and resolve A/V, computer, system, and user problems including compatibility conflicts, application operations, hardware malfunctions, and telecommunications problems.
•    Ability to personally travel unscheduled between Caldwell and Meridian campuses.
•    Physical ability to: climb ladders, bend, stoop, lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 40 pounds and to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Certifications; CTS-General, CTS-D, and/or CTS-I
•    Three or more (3+) years of experience in a supervisory role.
•    Three or more (3+) years of experience with A/V systems design and/or installation.
•    Experience with budget forecasting and inventory control.
•    A/V experience within an education setting.
•    Experience with Windows and MAC operating systems, information technology, and networking.
•    Familiarity with higher education organizational structures, operations and policies.
•    Effective problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
•    Team player who can operate productively and positively in a complex organization with multiple administrative partners.

The approved salary is $43,400 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
