Teach all classes in the Automotive Technology curriculum.
Prepare lesson plans in accordance with ASE/NATEF standards, teach lecture, conduct safe “hands-on” training in the lab, participate in recruiting activities, be involved with student organizations, solicit donations, maintain equipment, keep shop/training areas clean, enforce DEQ and OSHA standards, maintain tool accountability, enforce all safety standards, be actively involved in community/employer relations, and participate in curriculum development.
• Documented automotive technician work experience of eight years or three years' experience and a bachelor’s degree.
• Candidate must be able to qualify to teach under auspices of Idaho Career and Technical Education standards as found at: https://cte.idaho.gov/about/new-teachers.
• Teaching experience at the post-secondary level.

The approved salary is $40,890 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package. Idaho State University's Jeanne Clery report, federally required reporting, provides crime, arrest and fire statistics for the previous three years that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings owned or controlled by Idaho State University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies about alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, personal practices, disciplinary procedures, fire safety and other matters.
