Primary Purpose
The person hired to fill this position will have teaching, research, scholarship, and service responsibilities in the doctoral program in Higher Education Administration. The person hired to fill this position is expected to have leadership experience in higher education.

Key Responsibilities
•    Teach graduate courses in the Doctoral program in the Educational Leadership core and the Higher Education Administration concentration curriculum.
•    Assist and direct doctoral research projects, including dissertations and practica.
•    Contribute to the knowledge base in the field through publication and presentation of original research and submission of grant and contract proposals at the national level consistent with departmental, college, and university goals.
•    Utilize distance-learning technologies and travel to distance learning sites for teaching, recruiting, and advising.
•    Participate in unit governance and demonstrate leadership skills through service activities.

Minimum Qualifications
•    Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, Community College Leadership, or related field.
•    Ability to teach core and concentration area courses in Higher Education Administration (such as Advanced Research Methods, Statistics, Higher Education Curriculum, Assessment in Higher Education, History of Higher Education, Higher Education Law, etc.).
•    Strong written and verbal skills.
•    Ability to advise and direct doctoral research projects.
•    At least two documented, peer-reviewed publications.
•    Ability to teach graduate courses using distance-learning technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Record of leadership experience in higher education administration at the institutional, system, or state level.
