Primary Purpose
To manage a secure web-based program utilized by the Physician Assistant (PA) program. The data coordinator is a member of the clinical team, who works with all members of the PA faculty, staff and students as well as other internal and external customers who have need of data regarding the PA program.

Key Responsibilities
Manages relationships with software/data vendors and the PA program administration regarding program needs, system functionality, and software contract negotiations; Assists with the coordination of student clinical rotations, managing the acquisition/solicitation of preceptor availability and customizing the database to capture preceptor involvement in an ongoing basis; Manages the student's clinical rotation and selection process, tasked to assist with a university initiative to align multiple clinical programs to use the same database program, which will require coordination with several entities; Coordinates the processing of data and the release of information/data in various formats, develops procedures for data processing, monitors current and future needs of data, and recommends and coordinates any changes needed; Communicates software changes to PA program personnel, students and preceptors and creates/updates and formats student and preceptor electronic evaluation forms, develops user training modules, extracts data from the database to generate reports, and regularly evaluates the database product(s) to ensure the software continues to serve the PA program in the most efficient manner; Provides technical support and system training to PA Faculty/Staff, Students and Preceptors, including instruction in the classroom, distance learning, and one-on-one settings; Works with the PA program administration to conduct an annual self-evaluation. This requires the ability to extract raw data from the program data system as well as analyze and de-identify the data as needed for report purposes and regularly updates the PA program site data and rotation availability on the ARC-PA website; Serves as the delegate for the PA program Faculty/Staff to manage travel authorizations and expense reimbursements, and communicates travel and policy changes to the PA program Faculty/Staff and manages data reports for budgeting purposes.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in a health related field and/or information systems.
2. Experience using a variety of data base management systems.
3. Experience in evaluating and defining data management needs, recommending and implementing alternative solutions.
4. Experience compiling data, conducting quality control, analyzing data and making interpretations.
5. Experience coordinating data management activities between individuals and organizations.
6. Excellent writing and communication skills, interpersonal & group.
7. Excellent Organizational skills.
8. Attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Five (5) years of database management, including experience in design, development, and implementation of relational databases.
2. Experience using the E*Value system.
3. Experience in training faculty, staff, and students on utilizing data systems, including classroom and individual instruction.
4. Physician Assistant Studies program experience including experience with all aspects of the clinical year scheduling.
5. Familiarity with ARC-PA standards, and program self-evaluation process.
6. Create and manage data spreadsheets in regards to grading purposes as well as clinical scheduling.
7. Experience managing travel expense, and reimbursement documentation, along with tracking the expenditures for current/future year budgeting processes.

The approved salary range is $36,980 - $38,450 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
