The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, Division of Family and Community Services is recruiting for a Human Services Supervisor for the Pocatello Infant Toddler Program. This position will be responsible for case management services and supervision of service coordinator teams providing case management to 0-3 year old children and their families.  

We are seeking applicants who have experience working with families of young children with disabilities or early intervention services and experience providing or supervising service coordination to infants and toddlers and their families in natural environments.

This position requires a bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science curriculum such as social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation, education, nursing, sociology, or closely related field of study that included family systems; AND at least one year of experience in social service delivery or case management.

  • Provide supervision to Service Coordinators
  • Determine case priorities, recommend/provide training needs, and evaluate staff performance
  • Provide input into program policies, goals, and procedures
  • Promote standardization and consistency of practice
  • Routinely observe quality of service delivery activities by contractors and staff
  • Ensure quality of documentation, family assessments, and Individual Family Service Plans
  • Attend Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings or ensure lead worker presence
  • Assist with community outreach/organization
  • May carry a caseload as needed 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Some knowledge of supervisory practices
  • Some knowledge of community organization/development principles and processes
  • Experience demonstrating good knowledge of: human services principles and practices to include social and family systems, human growth and development, and case management methods

Additional Qualifications: Are not required; however, having the minimum qualifications and the experience and/or education below will increase your score.

  • Experience providing or supervising service coordination services to infants and toddlers and their families in natural environments. Typically gained by at least two years of experience providing or supervising case management services to infants and toddlers and their families in natural environments.
