The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has a current opening for an Electronic Benefits Transfer Specialist in the Bureau of Financial Services.
This announcement will be used to fill the current vacancy in Boise only. If you have previously applied for Electronic Benefits Transfer Specialist, and wish to be considered for the current vacancy, you must reapply under this announcement. Previous scores will not be used.
Train regional staff, customers and retailers in the Electronic Payment System, contractor system (JP Morgan), EBT policy and procedures, and make recommendations
Research and resolve customer/retailer complaints
Monitor point-of-sale (POS) machine and card activation and PIN selection (CAPS) inventories
Assist Self-Reliance Specialists and contractor staff in troubleshooting payment processing issues
Work with regional fraud investigators, Food and Nutrition Services and retailers on investigations and fraud referrals
Primary regional contact with retailers - recruitment, troubleshooting, training/providing information, POS terminal training, and manual voucher error resolution and processing
Reset security passwords on the JPM system
EBT card count and inventory and management reviews in field offices
Monitor security profiles for separation of duty requirements
Operate regional help desk
Some knowledge of training methods
Experience researching, identifying, resolving and reconciling payment problems in a financial system or electronic payment system
Additional Qualifications: Are not required; however, having the minimum qualifications and the education and/or experience below will increase your score.
Experience with IBES or ICSES system. Typically gained by at least six months of work experience utilizing these systems.
Experience testing automated system changes. Typically gained by at least one year of related work experience.
Good knowledge of data querying tools. Typically gained by at least one year of work experience extracting, validating, analyzing, and reporting data.
Experience documenting business processes. Typically gained by at least one year of work experience creating technical documentation or training manuals.
