Health District 4 has an exciting opportunity for
a Clinical Assistant in Boise!

This position requires the incumbent to work some evenings each week.  Be sure to mark "night" in the job/type shift portion of your online application if you want to be considered for this position.


  • Performs paraprofessional clinical duties; establishes and maintains client records, gathers client data and provides health and community program resource information to clients
  • Interviews clients to obtain and document detailed personal data including health and dietary information
  • Explains services and programs, determines client eligibility, and uses information to establish need and adapt services for clients
  • Sets up and maintains clinic area for nutrition, family planning, child health, immunizations, and/or communicable diseases
  • Obtains, processes, and reads results of lab samples (hematocrit, urine, cholesterol, and throat)
  • Describes program requirements, client rights, and obligations
  • Provides health and nutrition information to groups and individuals using professionally prepared materials
  • Distributes program outreach materials
  • Contacts clients about program services
  • Compiles data for program reports

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Some knowledge of health and nutritional needs of adults and children
  • Experience:
    • interviewing and asking detailed questions
    • recording information accurately and legibly
    • adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
