ITD District 4 seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager 1 to join the District's Design/Construction team. This position provides many challenging opportunities in multiple areas related to transportation contracting, specifically consultant contracting. Our team is looking for someone with a strong background in transportation and likes working with diverse stakeholders in a culture that promotes innovation and collaboration. This position will work closely with many diverse groups that include state, federal and private organizations to solve problems or improve or develop processes to enhance current workflow, operations and compliance.The selected candidate must be a self-starter and be able to work independently to achieve goals.

This position is based at the ITD District 4 office located in Shoshone, Idaho.

Responsibilities Include:

    • Develops and manages internal projects related to Qualification Based Selection by doing necessary research and working with project stakeholders;
    • Develops and manages internal projects related to Innovative Contracting;
    • Administers updates and oversees overarching stewardship agreements with external parties collaboratively;
    • Plans, organizes and leads productive meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes;
    • Prepares agreements , contracts, and technical /financial reports and correspondence for various audiences and
    • Performs funding approvals by certifying accuracy and eligibility of expenditures on Federal Aid projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience; planning and implementing transportation construction projects including coordinating the development of project scope, goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies, and measurement processes/methods for assessing progress toward goals and project outcomes;
  • Experience interpreting and explaining specialized or complex material into information usable by the public;
  • Experience developing and monitoring contracts.
