The Division of Medicaid is excited to announce an opening for a Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office and become an integral part of a team working to meet Medicaid’s growing project needs. This position will complete business and process analysis to effect change within the Division of Medicaid. The incumbent will identify business needs, facilitate identification of solutions and confirm solutions effective for a wide variety of policy and program changes. The incumbent will be a strong team contributor and have the ability to lead and manage small projects and project teams.

Research and analyze business issues, business and operational changes
Facilitate workgroups and business resources to define business needs, coordinate the gathering and reconciliation of detailed business requirements for system development
Document business process work flows across the division, in coordination with project stakeholders, data and technology support teams
Analyze issues, identify solutions and develop documentation to meet needs of business teams and programs
Support project management efforts as assigned
Create documentation to support business operations
Maintain an electronic repository for written documentation including business process flows, AS IS and TO BE documentation, Business Requirements, user guides, best practices, other as determined
Manage internal and external Medicaid website content and coordinate updates as needed
Utilize and or develop standardized tools that can be used to access needs, document process flows, and contribute to training and communications to support project goals and business change
Respond to requests for information
Good knowledge of project management
Good knowledge of organizational/business analysis and evaluation
Good knowledge of process improvement methodology
Additional Qualifications: Are not required; however, having the minimum qualifications and the education and/or experience below will increase your score.
Experience developing business process flows, business requirements and process documentation. Typically gained by at least one year of work experience where business process analysis was a primary responsibility and utilized analytical and facilitation skills and software tools to develop business process flows, requirements and process documentation.
Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA/CBAP) status or certification. Typically gained by meeting certification requirements from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Project Management Institute (PMI) or other certifying body.
Experience using SharePoint. Typically gained by at least six months of work experience where SharePoint development and/or content management was a primary responsibility, or completion of equivalent related college coursework or training.
