Applications are now being accepted for a Facility Training Coordinator at our Juvenile Corrections Center in St. Anthony. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity if you are detail oriented, enjoy training, have initiative and enjoy directing your own work, possess exceptional organizational skills and like working, coordinating, and collaborating with others. Your responsibilities will afford you the opportunity to work with facility leadership and staff as well as the Facility Training Coordinators at the other two Juvenile Corrections Centers in Nampa and Lewiston.RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Facility Training Coordinator is a member of the JCC St. Anthony Management Team. The employee will receive training in order to assist with direct care supervision or transporting of juveniles if necessary.
Training Coordination Coordinates and schedules facility training to include notifying participants, scheduling trainers, reserving rooms and media equipment, preparing course materials, rosters and certificates, and assisting trainers with training as needed.
- Good knowledge of training theory
- Experience performing needs assessments, developing training objectives, designing and developing coursework and evaluating the training
- Experience presenting training to adult groups in structured learning situations
- Experience using a variety of training methods
- Must hold a current Idaho POST Instructor certification OR be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire

Work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8 - 5 with occasional evening or week-end work, and some travel.

Upon an offer of conditional employment a criminal history background investigation including, but not limited to, the Idaho State Police Criminal Identification Bureau, FBI, and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare will be conducted on the successful applicant.
Upon hire, you will be required to take and pass a Tuberculosis test during the first 30 days of employment

State juvenile correctional centers are located in Lewiston, Nampa, and St. Anthony and provide a full complement of services for 268 youth who range from 10 to 20 years of age. St. Anthony, located in southeastern Idaho, is just a short drive from many recreational activities including camping, fishing, blue-ribbon fly fishing, hiking, golfing, hunting and winter sports including downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing.
