The Idaho Department of Labor, UI Compliance Bureau has a current opening for a Financial Specialist, Senior.   This position can be located in any of our local offices located in the Southwest, Southeast or Eastern Idaho area.  For a list of our offices, please Click Here.

The applicant who is selected for this position will be required to pass an FBI fingerprint background check. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Audit financial data for completeness and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain significant financial-related systems.
  • Prepare complex financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures for financial reporting systems.
  • Assist and communicate with a wide-range of internal and external customers concerning financial transactions, operations, and reporting from financial systems.
  • Apply strong background in information technology to analyze, research, and maintain financial data, develop financial documents, and resolve problems.
  • Analyze technical financial problems and provide professional assistance and advice concerning their solutions.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices;
    • Experience developing and preparing financial documents;
    • Experience using a personal computer to develop, analyze, and report on financial data;
    • Experience analyzing financial activities and recommending management action.
