Location(s): Boise


  • Update and maintain web pages and Web site content.  Develop and design artwork, write copy, and perform quality control proofing of content received from in-house sources.
  • Design and develop graphics for Idaho Public Television web sites.  Use Photoshop and Illustrator to develop and design graphics for each new in-house production and for promotional content used on the web.  Optimize each created graphic for downloading in a web browser.  Scan, size, and crop photos and digital screen captures of moving video. 
  • Develop, code, test and debug websites using HTML, CSS.  Use Dreamweaver to directly code HTML.  After building pages, test them in various browsers on both Mac and PC platforms, and de-bug any problems.  Use CSS for styles and positioning.
  • Build prototypes of pages in Photoshop for redesigns of various departments’ web pages.  After department approval of design, codes all graphic elements and text in HTML and CSS to build the final web site.
  • Test and de-bug streaming links and Flash.  Test and de-bug streaming links to be sure they correctly access Idaho Public Television’s streaming server and play properly.  Test and de-bug Flash files from outside sources.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of: computer graphic design techniques; design and desktop publishing software; how the Web site interacts with other sites on servers.
  • Experience: creating and designing art work and digital files via computers and output devices; using a Web-editor program that involves reading and writing the HTML coding within documents; using graphics, content, HTML and other Web tools.

The following are not required, but may increase your score on the examination:

  • Experience using Cascading Stylesheets (CSS).
  • Experience with Cold Fusion Programming.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Mura CMS, CSS processing, ColdFusion and some experience or familiarity with front end frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap.
