Lewis-Clark State College has an opening
in the Information Technology Services Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support, installation, maintenance and repair for LCSC's computer hardware and peripherals used by employees 
  • Configures new hardware and peripherals for end-users and computer labs, including operating systems and approved applications 
  • Creates, updates and maintains reliable inventory of all hardware and software
  • Installs or reinstalls software applications as needed 
  • Coordinates, troubleshoots and performs basic repairs for hardware and peripheral issues 
  • Assists end-users with instructional equipment in computer labs, classrooms and conference rooms 
  • Assists with operational tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Some knowledge of: personal computer trends, capabilities, and terminology; computer hardware and software installation
  • Experience: identifying and resolving computer and system problems including compatibility conflicts, application operations, and hardware malfunctions; supporting users in the use of two or more commonly used applications software to support users

The following are not required, but may increase your score on the examination:

  • Knowledge of computer software installation related specifically to the Mac OS X operating system and its components
  • Knowledge of computer hardware installation specifically related to Apple products such as iMacs, MacBooks, and iPads
  • Experience identifying and resolving computer and system problems including compatibility conflicts, application operation, and hardware malfunctions specifically related to Apple products
  • Experience evaluating and defining customer/system needs, and recommending and implementing new IT solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Apple Macintosh support experience with any organization
  • Formal training with Apple desktop hardware, operating systems, and applications
  • Ability to work multiple incidents and effectively manage resolution of tickets
  • Excellent oral/written communication and organization skills
