The Idaho State Tax Commission is recruiting for an IT Systems Operator in Boise
This position will be filled on a temporary part-time basis for an indefinite duration. The flexible work schedule is 19.5 hours per week with a non-negotiable starting salary of $14.08 per hour. This position does not have benefits. Temporary positions are exempt from classified state service, the rules of the Division of Human Resources, and the Idaho Personnel Commission.
Operate and monitor computer equipment and peripheral devices ranging from mainframe or minicomputer equipment to large network computer systems
Perform system backups and hardware preventive maintenance
Troubleshoot system operating problems and determine the cause of system interruptions
Resolve and coordinate problem resolution with in-house staff and vendors
Enforce physical security for computer systems
Some knowledge of Networking
Experience maintaining and trouble-shooting an operating system
Experience documenting operational problems
Experience reading and understanding technical material
Experience communicating with vendors, users, and other IT staff
