The Department of Administration is dedicated to providing responsive, cost effective, and timely support services to Idaho's policy makers, public agencies and state employees as they serve Idaho citizens.

The Department of Administration, Office of the Chief Information Officer, has an immediate opening for a full-time IT Systems Integration Analyst, Senior. This is a challenging career opportunity for a highly trained, seasoned, and motivated professional.  This position is responsible for managing a substantial virtual server infrastructure including application support, disaster recovery, backup/restore, file systems, Storage Area Network (SAN), Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory and tier 2/3 support responsibilities.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Manage, setup, configure, and maintain a VMware environment;
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and configure Windows Servers in a VMware environment;
  • Setup, manage, and maintain disaster recovery systems within a VMware environment;
  • Manages Windows Active Directory and Group Policy for the enterprise;
  • Manage user access and security for Windows servers and enterprise systems;
  • Work in tier 2 and 3 support roles;
  • Provide after-hours, on-call support, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience researching, designing and installing new or enhanced complex integrated systems which include multiple technologies and platforms and the resolution of conflicting goals;
  • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving complex multi-architecture and applications software problems.

Desirable Qualifications:

The following are not required but possessing the education and/or experience could increase your overall score.

  • Experience with set up, configuration and tuning of VMware based server infrastructure;
  • Ability to independently undertake installation, configuration, monitoring, reporting and troubleshooting of server operating systems (Windows and Linux);
  • Experience as a Microsoft Windows Administrator ensuring the stability, security, integrity and efficiency of a Windows Enterprise domain through experience using Remote Server Administrator Tools, including active directory users and computers, DHCP, DNS and Group Policy;
  • Experience with UCS data center computing hardware and switching components;
  • Understanding of NetApp OnCommand Unified Manager, SnapMirror and SnapVault functionality;
  • Experience with Veeam backup and recovery processes;
  • Experience managing Office 365.
