The Department of Administration is dedicated to providing responsive, cost effective, and timely support services to Idaho's policy makers, public agencies and state employees as they serve Idaho citizens.

The Department of Administration, Office of the Chief Information Officer, has an immediate opening for a full-time IT Systems Integration Analyst, Senior. This is a challenging career opportunity for a highly trained, seasoned, and motivated professional. The IT Systems Integration Analyst Senior is responsible for managing State licensure systems and applications, including application support, web site support, system security and end-user support.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain state licensure systems and applications
  • Create system specifications and requirements documents
  • Coordinate system upgrades, integration and patching with third party contractors
  • Troubleshoot, design and update agency web sites
  • Manage user access and security on application servers 
  • Play key role in identifying customer needs, resolving business and technical issues, and designing and implementing new systems
  • Manage, setup, configure and maintain enterprise-class application servers in a VMware environment
  • Provide direct end-user support
  • .Net software development and maintenance of applications
  • Provide after-hours, on-call support as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience researching, designing and installing new or enhanced complex integrated systems which include multiple technologies and platforms and the resolution of conflicting goals;
  • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving complex multi-architecture and applications software problems;
  • A valid drivers license.

Desirable Qualifications:

The following are not required but possessing the education and/or experience could increase your overall score.

  • Good Knowledge of:
    • Mainstream Server operating systems and VMware;
    • Microsoft .Net software development;
    • MS SQL Server administration;
  • Experience with:
    • Independent set up, configuration and tuning of VMware based server infrastructure;
    • Independent installation, configuration, monitoring, reporting and troubleshooting of server operating systems (Windows and Linux) and web server applications;
    • VMware administration, independent installation, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of third-party application software;
    • Setup, configuration and management of enterprise-class SQL Server environments;
