Location(s): Twin Falls


  • Creates a vision for the IT department, consults with management and vendors about future IT directions and development
  • Plans for, designs, and oversees the integration of operating systems including server software modules, security levels, utilities, and third-party products
  • Participates in and oversees development of network topologies, physical layout, and communications configurations
  • Reviews system growth rates and capacity requirements and recommends software, hardware, and information processing options
  • Develops procedures and policies governing IT operations
  • Participates in and oversees installation, configuration, and management of monitoring diagnostic utilities, routers, switches, and firewalls to optimize network efficiency
  • Oversees and conducts analyses and verification procedures for existing and proposed IT applications
  • Oversees evaluation of IT processing equipment and techniques for applicability, reliability, flexibility, speed, and costs
  • Oversees and conducts project cost estimates
  • Reviews and evaluates programming operations and training needs
  • Hires, supervises, and evaluates IT staff performance
  • Maintains lists of IT priorities and assigns work and projects to IT Staff
  • Negotiates contracts for services and utilizes Excel to keep track of all IT contracts and services to ensure timely payment
  • Develops and monitors a program budget

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of current trends in information technology
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware and software capabilities and limitations
  • Some knowledge of supervisory practices
  • Experience installing new or enhanced multi-faceted integration systems which include multiple technologies and platforms and resolution of conflicting goals with various users
  • Experience implementing and maintaining integrated (multi-platform) system solutions using diverse applications, tools, and methodologies
  • Experience working with clients defining and interpreting IT needs and translating them into workable solutions in a business environment
  • Experience solving problems spanning multiple computing platforms, processes, environments, and communications technologies
  • Experience participating in cost/benefit analysis

Preferred Experience Includes:

  • Experience in the management of current Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware, and Citrix Enterprise systems
  • Experience in the management of network topologies, routers, switches, firewalls, and security products
  • Management of database activities
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies in enterprise servers and desktop management products
