We currently have an opening for a Systems Administration Manager within the Enterprise Technology Services Division at ITD Headquarters in Boise.

This position’s primary responsibility will be to direct the activities of the Systems Administration Team. This team provides technical support for the department's middleware, SDLC, image deployment, web services and LANDesk technology operations. The successful candidate will have exceptional IT experience as well as the ability to motivate, lead, and encourage the team.

NOTE: This position requires a background check including fingerprinting before a final offer of employment is extended.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight for technology service delivery of SDLC, TFS, LANDesk, middleware, and image deployment;
  • Prioritization of team work load;
  • Continuous improvement and innovation of IT service and project delivery;
  • Resolve team and inter-team conflicts;
  • Manage operations of Enterprise Systems Administration team and direct staff;
  • Assist in oversight of Enterprise IT operations, service delivery and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:  
  • Good knowledge of: current trends in information technology; computer hardware and software capabilities and limitations;
  • Some knowledge of management practices;
  • Experience: serving as a project supervisor or team leader on IT projects.
  • Position will require experience in the full range of activities of the Service Area in which management activities occur.
  • Desired Experience:

    • Managing Enterprise application development and deployment;
    • Managing multiple disciples and assignments;
    • Develop team process and procedures;
    • Interpreting and implementing policies, laws, rules, and regulations;
    • Supervising staff.
