Four workshops are scheduled in March to help unemployed and underemployed Idaho workers learn how to effectively use the Internet in their job searches.
The free 90-minute online networking workshops are scheduled for March 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 10:30 a.m. at the Department of Labor’s Boise office, 219 W. Main St.
The workshops will focus on why online networking increases the chances of landing a job, how to connect with people online, the most popular networking sites and how to navigate those sites and communicate in group discussions.
“These workshops show the potential of online networking is exponential,” Labor Consultant Alisa Bondurant said. “As people begin making connections online, new networking options will emerge, creating opportunities and more possibilities of finding the job they want or need.”
Participants need basic computer skills and experience with navigating the Internet.
