People struggling to survive Idaho’s current economic turbulence may be able to find some support at a Community Resource Fair scheduled for Jan. 16-17 at the Idaho Department of Labor’s Canyon County local office in Caldwell.
People who may be struggling will be able to connect with state and local agencies that can help them survive tough economic times. The fair will run from 1p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday., Jan. 16, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17.
“Getting people back to work is our top priority, but that can be complicated when people are struggling to meet the basic day-to-day needs of their families,” said Labor consultant and event organizer Jose DeLeon. “This fair will bring together many organizations that can provide some support for individuals and the families of people who are out of work.”
Agencies and organizations participating in the fair include the Community Council of Idaho, the Idaho Development and Housing Organization, The Western Idaho Community Action Partnership, the Treasure Valley Resource Center, the Southwest Cooperative Housing Authority, Southwest District Health, the Caldwell Housing Authority and the state Department of Health and Welfare.
