Canyon County Site of Final Free Unemployment Insurance Seminars

The last four free unemployment insurance seminars for employers will be held next week at the Canyon County Center of Boise State University.

The four-hour sessions wrap up a statewide series of 30 Idaho Department of Labor seminars aimed at helping employers control costs as the overall economy slows and claims for unemployment benefits rise.

The department is introducing a new online application called ECORE that allows employers to electronically manage their unemployment insurance accounts and monitor claims charged to them. In addition to information on unemployment insurance taxes, the claims process and the employment and business services available through 25 Labor offices located throughout the state, employers are receiving instructions on how to log into ECORE and use its tools to control costs.

Employers have their choice of morning or afternoon sessions on either June 10 or June 11. The morning sessions begin at 8 a.m. and are repeated at 1 p.m. in the university center at 2407 Caldwell Blvd.

Space remains limited so register online at is http://labor.idaho.gov/seminars.
