Free employer seminars on Idaho’s unemployment insurance program and wage laws set for Meridian have been consolidated into two sessions on June 5.
Employers have their choice of morning or afternoon sessions. The four-hour seminar begins at 8 a.m. and repeats at 1 p.m. at the Meridian School District Services Center, 1303 E. Central.

The Idaho Department of Labor is introducing a new online application called ECORE that allows employers to electronically manage their unemployment insurance accounts and monitor claims charged to them. In addition to information on unemployment insurance taxes, the claims process and the employment and business services available through 25 Labor offices located throughout the state, employers are receiving instructions on how to log into ECORE and use its tools to control costs.
Morning seminars repeating in the afternoons have been under way throughout the state since early May and are still scheduled for:
• Twin Falls, May 28 at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and May 29 at 8 a.m. at the Herrett Center at the College of Southern Idaho, 315 Falls Ave.
• Boise, June 3 at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and June 4 at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Red Lion Downtowner, 1800 Fairview Ave.
• Meridian, June 5 at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Meridian School District Services Center, 1303 E. Central.
• Canyon County, June 10 at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and June 11 at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Boise State University Canyon County Center, 2407 Caldwell Blvd.
