The Idaho Department of Labor is processing the federal 1099-G tax information forms for the more than 100,000 Idaho workers who received unemployment insurance benefits in 2011.
The forms must be mailed and available to claimants by Jan. 31, 2012, and the department will meet this deadline.
The forms will also be placed in the IdahoWorks system under “Year End 1099-G” although the exact date is still unclear because of the huge number of forms being processed.
It is important for claimants to go online and provide the Idaho Department of labor their current address so the Form 1099-G reaches them.
The department processed over $418 million in state and federal unemployment benefits during 2011. That was down from $624 million in 2010 and $643 million in 2009.
