Idaho Workforce Development Council to Meet Oct. 25 in Boise
Idaho’s economic outlook and an update on the Governor’s Workforce Task Force transition are on the agenda of the Idaho Workforce Development Council’s quarterly meeting Wednesday, Oct. 25. The council will meet from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Simplot Ballroom in the Boise State University Student Union Building, 1700 W. University Drive
A presentation from the Governor’s Higher Education Task Force will highlight education topics on the agenda, along with a budget presentation from the State Department of Education and a career and college exploration presentation from the State Board of Education.
The council will wrap up the day-long meeting with a tour of the Boise State College of Innovation & Design.

Council members, appointed by Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter, represent businesses, workers, education, state and local government and community based organizations. The council’s mission is to advise the governor and the State Board of Education on strategies designed to yield high quality workforce innovation and opportunity services for Idaho’s businesses, job seekers and students.
