Idaho Workforce Development Council to Meet in Boise Jan. 11
The Idaho Workforce Development Council will address recent changes in the council’s configuration, discuss its evolving role and review initiatives at its first meeting of the year Jan. 11, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Boise.
The meeting takes place at Oxford Suites, 1426 S. Entertainment Ave., in the Idaho Ballroom.
The council’s support of workforce development and an update on last year’s Governor’s Task Force on Workforce Development recommendations are also on the agenda. A discussion of the new council will include an introduction to Wendi Secrist, the council’s new executive director.
Council members will hear updates on Idaho’s economic forecast and balance projections for the Workforce Development Training Fund.

• Idaho State Board of Education

Workforce Development Council members, appointed by Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter, represent businesses, workers, education, state and local government and community based organizations.
