Low Unemployment Means Job Applicants Will Be in High Demand at June 14 Hiring Event in Post Falls
More than 25 employers will be in attendance at the monthly hiring event in the Idaho Department of Labor Post Falls office on Wednesday, June 14. The event will be held at a new time - from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. - at 600 N. Thornton St.
With persistent low unemployment and tight labor supply, jobs are in abundance with many employers struggling to fill positions. Companies in attendance will be looking to hire people for a wide array of occupations including production, assembly, warehousing, landscaping, groundskeeper, office administration, border patrol, inside sales, welder, fabricator, accounting, plastic mold injection operator, food service, hospitality, carpenter and general labor.
Job seekers do not need to register in order to attend. They are encouraged to bring several copies of their resumes and be prepared to meet directly with recruiters. Computers are available in the Department of Labor office so job seekers can apply online if needed.
To see a list of the employers scheduled to attend, visit the Department of Labor website at labor.idaho.gov/calendar.
Customers with disabilities who need a reasonable accommodation to participate can contact Stacey Hanlon at (208) 457-8789 ext. 3947. To access the Idaho Relay Service for the deaf and hard of hearing, dial 711.
