Employers from a variety of industries will
be seeking workers at a hiring event Thursday, Sept. 7, from 1-4 p.m. The event
takes place at the Idaho Department of Labor’s Idaho Falls local office, 1515
E. Lincoln Road.
Area employers have immediate openings for
jobs such as processing workers, line inspectors, baggers, drum operators,
mechanics, lab techs, housekeepers, servers, dishwashers, caregivers, hand
bindery assembly workers, credit repair consultants, financial solutions
consultants, child mental health therapists, tire and lube technicians,
roofers, journeyman electricians, construction laborers and drivers.
Other employers will be on site to hire
temporary help for the potato harvest.
To prepare for the event, job seekers
should bring resumes, be ready to discuss job opportunities, and related skills
and qualifications with employers, and have all the information needed to fill
out job applications.
