The Business Directory of Idaho, at present, is a listing of Idaho Unemployment Insurance (UI) covered employers who have signed a publication consent form for the Idaho Department of Labor. Future updates however, will also include non-covered employers who have returned a publication consent form to the Idaho Department of Labor. A signed publication consent form is required to be included in the Business Directory of Idaho. Because a signiture is required, online signup is not permissable.
The Business Directory of Idaho was started by the Idaho Department of Labor with assistance and funding from the Idaho Department of Commerce, Idaho State Occupational Information Coordinating Committee, Boise State University Small Business Development Center, and the Ada County Planning Association. The purpose of this directory is to provide a listing of Idaho employers which can be searched by industry, county, and employment size for use in demographic, economic, and market research.
The Business Directory of Idaho will be updated semi-annually, in June and December. To be included in the directory, the deadline for returning a signed publication consent form is May 1, for the June update, and November 1, for the December update.
If your Idaho business has an active UI account number, but has not returned a publication consent form, you can download the form now. You will only need to return the form once.
If you are uncertain, as to whether your Idaho business is already included in the Business Directory of Idaho, you can search for your business now. Help screens are available to assist you in your search.
If your Idaho business does not have employees covered by Unemployment Insurance, you can still be included in the directory, however, you must return a signed publication consent form before each update deadline. Without a UI account number the Department of Labor is unable to determine if your business is still in operation. Therefore, the continued inclusion of your business in the Business Directory of Idaho is your responsibility.
