Governor Otter's Hire One Tax Credit is designed to jump-start Idaho's economy by rewarding employers with a sliding-scale income tax credit based on the employer's unemployment insurance tax rating and the unemployment rate where the new job is located. The credit is in effect for employers who hire new employees on or after April 15, 2011 and by no later than March 31, 2013.
