The Idaho Department of Labor Employer Association of Ada County is a partnership between Ada County businesses and Idaho Department of Labor offices in Meridian and Boise.
This association is a tremendous value to the business community, offering information about important state and federal legislation, a variety of training seminars throughout the year providing the most current information to help your business thrive in today’s economy, and a personal network with other local companies interested in sharing and learning about best business practices. Participation also gives you a direct voice in shaping public services developed with a portion of your unemployment insurance taxes.
Membership is free and includes:
- Invitations to training seminars tailored to help you effectively meet the business, work force and human resource challenges faced by Idaho businesses. These seminars help Idaho businesses address work force and personnel challenges by sharing best practices, employment regulations and alternative ways to improve operations. Seminars are offered at a nominal cost and cover a broad spectrum of important topics such as:

- Optimizing diversity in your company culture
- Business survival practices
- Wage, hour and labor laws
- Bi-monthly newsletters featuring professional articles on the most current information and trends affecting your bottom-line including unemployment insurance, personnel, the labor market, work force training, and other subjects affecting employment in your community
- Informative updates on a broad array of no-cost services available to your business through the Idaho Department of Labor
- A direct voice in shaping the state employer services developed with some of your unemployment insurance taxes
