What Are My Next Steps?

CIS teaches your child how to learn, plan and act their way to the career that's right for them and the bright future you want them to earn.

Explore with your child
  • Their school counselor or person in charge of Idaho CIS at their school has provided them with the school's user name and password.
  • Ask your child to review Idaho CIS with you
  • Share your learning and work experiences with them
  • Work with your school to encourage and support their career development efforts
Create a Portfolio
  • Your child will have quick access to their assessment results, college and scholarship lists and all of the other career information you've found.
  • It will stay with your child through postsecondary education and into the workforce.
  • They can start a career plan and update it year after year.
  • Calendars of future coursework, school applications and other career activities will help them progress toward their goals.
