Idaho Disability Determinations Service

The Idaho Disability Determinations Service (DDS) performs the medical adjudication for the Social Security Administration (SSA), of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability claims for the citizens of the State of Idaho.

The DDS does not receive claims directly from applicants.  Social Security offices throughout the state send claims for SSDI and SSI benefits to the DDS for review and adjudication of the medical portion of the application.  This site contains information on how Social Security defines disability, how to file an application, the DDS’s business process and other information.
