Adults & Dislocated Workers Youth
The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is a federally funded program that establishes the Workforce Development System and provides funding to support training and employment services for adults, dislocated workers and low-income, at-risk youth.
The Workforce Development System is comprised of a statewide Governor's Workforce Development Council, a single state planning region, and numerous state and local employment and training organizations that work in partnership to bring services to Idaho students, job seekers and business customers. Customers can access the full range of WIA services through the Idaho Works Career Centers located in each of the six geographic regions of the state.
Proposed Performance Measures for Workforce Investment Act and Wagner Peyser Programs Open for Public Comment
Under the Workforce Investment Act, states must propose expected levels of performance for the adult, dislocated work and youth programs. The proposed performance measures are described in the linked Workforce Development Council
transmittal.

Comments must be received by 5 p.m., Mountain Daylight Time, June 18, 2013, to be considered as part of the performance measure negotiations.
